About the Mediation Center
The Conner Law Mediation Center provides a neutral site in southeast Georgia for private, voluntary, informal and confidential mediation. Located in Jesup, our certified mediator guides a collaborative discussion that doesn't apply formal rules of evidence or other procedures used to govern a lawsuit in a court of law. The participants may work with the mediator to establish some ground rules, time limits, and the necessity of future sessions.As a neutral facility, The Conner Law Group Mediation Center does not offer legal or financial advice. Our role is to facilitate the conversation between parties in order to generate a mutually agreed upon solution.
The mediation process typically begins with an explanation of the mediation process by the mediator followed by an invitation to both parties to express their viewpoints and objectives. During the process, the mediator may alternate between joint meeting and private caucuses with the parties. The mediator's most critical role is to clearly determine points of disagreement and suggest options for potential solutions. The goal of a mediation is to create a settlement agreement that is satisfactory to both parties.
Throughout mediation, The Conner Law Mediation Center's mediator will remain intently focused on the interests and concerns of both parties. Our primary interest is on the disputants, and attorneys may be present if necessary to discuss the legalities that could be involved in a proposed settlement.
David Michael Conner
Mike Conner is a celebrated litigation attorney, specializing in commercial, business and construction litigation and related business organization and planning as well as the prosecution of catastrophic personal injury cases. He founded The Conner Law Mediation Center to provide southeast Georgia with a centrally located neutral facility for swift, cost-effective dispute resolution in a professional setting. Mr. Conner is certified as a mediator and arbitrator by the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
